The Second Annual University of Michigan Neuroscience Conference brings together neuroscientists from across all campuses and schools at the University of Michigan. This event focuses on cross-fertilization of ideas and social and scientific interaction for neuroscientists from the large number of departments participating in neuroscience research.

July 16th

Location: Zoom!

● 2pm: Dr. Shelly Flagel: "The paraventricular thalamic nucleus as a neural switch of behavioral control"

    • Followed by questions and 10min break

● 3pm: Data Blitz talks by trainees

● 4pm: Workshops and discussion groups


July 17th

Location: Zoom again of course!

● 2pm: Dr. George Mashour : "The Controversial Correlates of Consciousness.”

    • Followed by questions and 10min break

● 3pm: Data Blitz talks by trainees

● 4pm: Zoom-based poster session (Visiting individual zoom rooms for each poster)

    • Encouraged for posters: Accompaniment at home by beer, coffee, candy or whatever will make your poster-going more fun!

● 5pm: Announcement of datablitz award winners and closing remarks
